Hester Ford

Hester arrived in Phoenix in 1976 from Youngstown, Ohio. Shortly after, she joined the Phoenix Art Museum’s docent training program. Hester received two years of intensive training before she began volunteering at the museum. Her growing interest in art and art history led to the opening of Posters Mostly and Framing. Beyond her knowledge of color and design and appropriate combinations, she has developed a keen sense of what is necessary to preserve your art and treasures for future generations.

Dorothy Johnson

Dorothy has been married to Eric for over 20 years and has 3 children: Nelson, Hunter and Emily. She is a graduate of California College of the Arts and worked at Hallmark cards as a lettering artist. She coordinated the Masterpiece Art Program for Liberty Elementary School for many years and started their Homework Club. Dorothy and her daughter participated in the YMCA’s Adventure Guides (formerly Indian Maidens) for several years leading the groups to many new adventures! Now, Detour Company Theatre (a company for adults with special needs) is filling hours. She is audio interpreting and coaching for the blind and her daughter coaches also.  Dorothy loves to take walks in the preserve, practice yoga, swim and knit, and spend time with her husband and children!

Thomas Ford

Thomas has been an expert at custom framing since Posters Mostly opened more than three decades ago. Since graduating from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Thomas has done the art, poster and picture framing for the shop. He has a keen eye for creating custom shadow boxes, sports jersey frames and other keepsake pieces. In his free time, Thomas enjoys spending time with his kids, motorcycle riding, camping and attending youth sporting events with his wife, Jennifer.
